Project Overview
By leveraging an AI-powered workflow to analyze deep user friction, specifically 'flat' data and obscured deadlines, I redesigned the interface to surface real-time carrier cutoffs and AI-driven risk mitigation. This shift moves the user from manual data management to decisive operational action within the first 90 seconds of their day.

AI-Powered Research
Used a parallel AI workflow (Claude & Gemini) to analyse feedback from Reddit, G2, and ShipStation’s community forums

Information Architecture
Using my own experience and Gemini’s output, I divided the dashboard into four main zones and reworked the information architecture.

Rapid Prototyping
By prompting Claude Code, Stitch, and Figma Make, I generated several initial screens, then brought them into Figma via Figma MCP for refinement. This significantly sped up the exploration process and saved time.

Final Design
Brought the design into Figma, added annotations to guide the design toward the project goals and maintain brand consistency, and then produced the final screen.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE & Key Features Redesign
Zone 1 (The Mission Control)
Top-level overview with search, daily KPIs, shipment deadlines, and today’s workload.
Zone 2 ( Navigation & Actions)
Core menu for orders, shipments, returns, and quick actions like batch creation, label printing, and import.
Zone 3 (Priority Queue)
Main working area showing orders by urgency, status, and deadline, with fast filtering for action.
Zone 4 (Sync & Risk Monitor)
Live store sync status, carrier health, and operational alerts that need immediate attention.
03 Rapid Prototyping
I prompted different AI tools, including Claude Code, Google Stitch, and Figma Make, using the project context, information architecture, and defined dashboard zones. From that process, I generated these initial designs.

Refining AI Concepts with Claude Skill and Design References
The structure of the generated designs was close to what I wanted, but the visual direction was not. To improve this, I used Claude more deliberately: I provided competitor screenshots and my design system library as references, then asked it to review and refine each concept to better match the look and feel I was aiming for. This resulted in stronger, more aligned design directions.
